ANCIENT SECRETS + MODERN TECHNOLOGY (PART 2)
| Following on from what I mentioned about the ancient mystery traditions, there was much that the New Age could not teach me. At the risk of being vague, there is not much I could put into words, but all I can say is that I become more aware of my roots … the very thing that New Age belief systems can cut you off from. I became aware that I had past lives, and that we do indeed reincarnate in many lives to experience the physical plane.
Some schools of thought say that we come to earth to learn tough lessons and heal bad karma from previous lives. I don’t necessary believe that. I believe we come here to simply experience. We learn things along the way, although learning isn’t the prime reason we are here.
New Age belief systems will tell you to connect to the light, to clear your aura and chakras, to connect with Jesus, Buddha etc. What I learned, however, is the shadow being within us who needs recognition. It is the source of our everyday power.
The shamanic tradition of Huna refers to this aspect as our Lower Self. It is this Lower Self that has more of a connection to our “Higher” Self. The Lower Self absorbs the programming of our subconscious mind, and if negatively programmed can severely sabotage aspects of our personal life. Modern psychology uses the term “inner child”, which I think sounds incredibly corny. So I realised, that there is a animalistic child like part of us that holds our programming, and needs to be reprogrammed. Certain traditions offer different methods, such as meditation and visualisation, to communicate with our shadow self, and the use of images to visualize the negative scripts and programming being burned away, and a new one put in place.
The programming is absorbed by our subconscious, and it is assimilated by our lower self. I later then came upon the teachings of hypnosis and the subconscious mind. We are born into a society that is constantly projecting messages and images to us. We are under assault. The system we live in thrives on programming us to be its slaves in order for it to continue. We are programmed with the superficial fears and desires of society in order to be distracted from our own power.
So I come upon the current phase of this path. It is something that the New Age doesn’t really know or forgets to tell us about; it is something that the mystery traditions touched upon but in a way that may not be so relevant in order to thrive in this present age. It is MASTERY OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND. Our subconscious mind is the powerful mechanism behind our beliefs, attitudes and behaviours.
There are people in this world who realize this fact, and use it to their advantage. They are the people in control, in authority, who know how to the mechanisms of the subconscious and how to exploit people with it. Some of you who are reading this may know a lot about this. These people are referred to as the elite, the brotherhoods, the Illuminati.
They are also greedy and clever marketing and advertising executives who know how to make you want their product.
So I propose that we defy this system of conditioning. Let us curse it; let us give it the finger; let us bare our ass to it in defiance. I propose the WE become the Powers That Be, the Controllers, the Brotherhood, the Illuminati, to ourselves. It all comes down to the very simple thing of mastering our own subconscious.
We do not necessarily need to have a Reiki attunement, participate in a Sweat Lodge, bury ourselves or the night in the earth, or have a session in a rebirthing tank. We can just learn to influence our subconscious.
I realised, during my time with the New Age, that I had a very smug and superior attitude. I thought that I was “enlightened”, and that I was above “non-spiritual” people. I laugh now when I think of this. I realise these thoughts only compensated for the genuine lack of power and self-esteem that I felt in the real outside world. These very real issues remained buried in my subconscious while I was busy meditating on the light, and clearing my aura.
Now, with the power of self-hypnosis and subliminal messages, I have come upon the most revolutionary method I have experienced thus far for self-empowerment. I have had good results with these methods. And as you are influencing the subconscious, the results come a lot quicker than just praying or visualizing alone.
What we have now are amazing hypnosis and subliminal tools to influence our subconscious and change what we want about ourselves and our lives. What we find now is that methods of mastery in this modern age are becoming more available to us. Self hypnosis is a simple and effective way of changing behaviours that may hinder us in life.
Subliminal directives are good for instilling power, confidence and new abilities. We have binaural beat technology, which gets our mind into a balanced receptive state, that we can achieve in minutes what it would have taken a Zen monk years to achieve in a past age. There is radionic software available that can charge up the power of visualization and drive your positive images deep into your subconscious.
I have come across many of these amazing tools, and here is where ancient secrets are meeting modern technology. In the Matrix movies, one of the overlooked themes is humanity and technology co-existing harmoniously.
The Oracle, who it turns out is really part of the Machine World, tells Neo that the only way to have a future is together. We can have technology supporting us rather than letting it conquer us.

With all my talk of modern technology, I am in no way disparaging the ancient traditions, but propose that the utilization of modern technology is part of the evolution that has been carried forward from the ancient times.
We now have access to things that only adepts and masters of the ancient world knew. I find it humorous thinking about it, but we do not need special magical tools to affect our reality. Apart from the power of our minds, the only physical tools we need now is a computer and an mp3 player.
